I would be giving 10 stars to Kellie Van Essen of the John L Scott Company in Washington state if I could. I am the CEO of a real estate company in Northern Nevada and we have been members of a referral network for over 30 years so I understand how the process works and what questions to ask.

My brother and sister in law live in Tacoma, Washington in a beautiful house and neighborhood but their house was almost 100 years old. Like many older homes, there was much deferred maintenance to be done but they did not want at their age to undertake the repairs.

In less than a week, Kelli and her one team member looked at the house and gave my brother and his wife the information they needed to move forward. In that same week, Kelli brought over al contractor who purchases older homes and remodels them. He was wonderful to my family and closed on their house with a rent back allowing them to stay in the house while they found their next home.

Selling a home is a complicated process (especially if you haven't done it in 60 years). Kelli held their hand throughout and kept them from panicking. After the house closed, Kelli found them a one level house nearby which was another complicated transaction with a guardianship in place requiring a judge's approval which was delayed by one month to insure it was the right price. Kelli again made sure they were informed along the way and at 4:30pm on May 31 they closed their next dream house. I can say with confidence without Kelli and her expertise they would have been stuck in place.

As if she had not done enough, she did not like that the grass had not been cut and proceeded to have the grass cut for them before my family moved in. That is service above and beyond but that is what Kelli does. Kelli knows the market intimately, she is a master of real estate, a great communicator and has the compassion and empathy that enables her clients to trust her which she tells them they have made the right decision.
